Kraut update

Some of you have asked about the sauerkraut. Here's what it looks like now:

It's gotten kind of clear and limp, and it smells pretty strongly. It's a sour cabbagey smell, which I think is right. It's not getting moldy or smelling like Pseudomonas (the bad-food-refirgerator smell--Pseudomonas are the bacteria species that spoil food in the fridge), so I'm thinking it's going well. I'm not ready to eat any of it, though. I'll let it sit around for a couple more weeks, then mayve I'll eat some.
