Odds and Ends

I've been pretty busy the last couple of weeks. I've been worn out from work, and we were out of town for a high school reunion the weekend of June 24th.

The garden is doing well (I'll get a picture of my black-eyed peas up soon, Mom.), and I'll resume my pursuit of a cabrito recipe soon.

I've also been working on another food-production project recently, but things haven't been going well. "Snakes on a Plane" is a great concept for a movie, but "Snakes in a Barn" isn't much fun to work through. I've got that problem solved now, though, and I'm just waiting a couple of weeks for a replacement shipment for the food......

Here is your chance Aaron.

American Meat Goat Association Annual Conference and Goat Show and Sale:
July 15-16. Sutton County Civic Center. That would be Sonora, Texas.

I know it is short notice but you can learn alot there I bet.

As an aside:
Also the World Championship Goat Roping July 21-22 at Sutton County Park Complex. It used to be in Angelo then moved to Ozona and maybe Eldorado then moved to Sonora I guess.

Aaron and Laura, I look at your blog now and then. Give me more news. Know things aren't as exciting as in Reading, England, though.
Lizanne, Jon, and Michael should be driving up to my door any minute. Love, GIGI
